Zimmer actuated gripper IMZ1.2.bmp

3D Adaptive Z001

The 3D Adaptive gripper is a novel, patent-pending robotic end-effector designed to conform passively to objects of varying size, shape, texture and deformability.
Employing a fractal geometry of frusto-spherical joints, the gripper adapts at both macro and micros scales - requiring no additional actuators. Positively biased scoops automatically provide pinch gripping or grasping of objects. Standard industry actuators can be used to drive the gripper. Shown here, the grippers are driven by a Zimmer actuator.

3D Adaptive ZH 001

Compatible with standard industrial arms and native to the Re-Vector robotic arm.
The gripper and the arm combined operate throughout the full workspace, handling diverse objects adaptively and eliminating the need for tool-change.
